Kayla Hunt

Club Secretary

Kayla’s journey into beekeeping began with a love of learning, nature, and spending meaningful time with family. What started as curiosity quickly grew into a passion for honey bees, their incredible colonies, and the important role they play in our environment.

As Secretary for the Beekeepers of Gilmer County, Kayla enjoys helping keep the club organized, documenting meetings, and supporting the club’s mission of education and fellowship among local beekeepers. In addition to volunteering with the club, she works full time while balancing family life, homeschooling, and her involvement in the beekeeping community.

Alongside her mother, Kayla is also part of Two Queens and a Hive, a mother-daughter beekeeping venture focused on sharing their love of bees and honey.

When she isn’t working with bees, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family, playing clarinet, and continuing to learn and grow as a beekeeper in North Georgia.
